The African Continent has produced a great revolution of contrivance from past decades to the present time. When I original saw this sculpture in the African and Oceanic collection, sound judgment by the material used it looked like they were two hoary adults sitting on a bench side by side staring at people pass by. in like manner it looked very solid and rigid as if it were portraying their alliance and love withstanding the test of time. There were also other interpretations I thought of while looking at this sculpture, since the two figures look so similar, it made me think that this sculpture made my Dogon people was an expression of symmetrical responsibilities of men and women.
