Jerry Cruncher, a Tellsons Banks handyman, was involved in a grave robbing organization and was uncomfortable with his married womans praying habits. He went to Paris with the Manettes as their body guard, but after their ordeals, he became more than of a friend. Also, because of many brushes with the law, he decided to end his unscrupulous behavior for a more quiet home life.
