y grandfather at once told me a story of why monkeys get wind like people...
more years ago a terrible famine strike and no rain fell. No corps grew and the people had no food to eat. The liquidation elders decided that the remaining food should be stored in i safe place, guarded from thieves and animals. The men chosen to guard the food was trusted warriors.
Time passed and the drought did non break. Very little food was left and left everyone hungry. For the one throng of guards the hunger and temptation was too much. They began eating. The next group of guards on duty found the thieves still eating and the huffy warriors dragged them to the village council to be tried.
The village chief said to them, You look fit and strong. This is because you have eaten the food you were trusted to guard. However we testament not kill you for this act, we give give you a lesson you lead never forget.
You will be turned into animals who look about human. People will drive you away from their home because you will always be ready to steal. You will live in the cold trees in the winter while we have warm fires. You will never live with us again!
The village nganga turned them into the first monkeys. When they saw how they looked they ran and hid in the bushes.
