A Sound of Thunder and The Lottery
It is said that, everything changes turn come forward human behavior and its consequences, and this invention is exemplified in the stories, The Lottery and A Sound of thrive. The authors of both stories has impress the lectors through the apply of adumbrative, symbolization and pacing. Foreshadowing is a ensample or some sheath of indication of a futurity event that may occur. In The Lottery, at that place is a foreshadowing of the gathering of the rocks. The rocks argon a detail which gets lose because of all the other positivistic details in the drool analogous happiness and rejoicing moods in the beginning of the story. In A Sound of Thunder, there is a foreshadowing in a restate said by Travis, Anything happens to you, were non responsible. These dinosaurs are hungry. This quote gives the reader a hint that something may happen to Eckels. Both the stories have symbols, like in The Lottery, there is a symbolism of the term the drafting and the black cuff. In A Sound of Thunder, there is a symbolism of the cadence cable car and the metal path. The draft represents any action, behavior, or an idea that is passed down from one contemporaries to another and how that idea is beingness accepted and followed unquestioningly no matter how illogic or cruel it is. The black box represents the both tradition of the lottery and the illogic of the villagers being trusty to it.
