Marijuana
Marijuana is the more or less commonly abused illicit drug in the joined States. Its a dry shredded green and brown mix of flowers stems, seeds, and leaves derived from the hemp plant smokenabis sativa. The main lively chemical in marijuana is a delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol or tetrahydrocannabinol for short. This chemical is a mind-altering and pleasure creating chemical. The potency of tetrahydrocannabinol varies from a 1-2 percent in brown or bammer wad and 11-12 percent in sinsemilla or chronic weed, made from the buds and flush tops of female plants. It is generally assumed that in the archeozoic decades of this century the custom of smoking the weed in butt end form traveled with groups of itinerant Mexican workers across the Texas molding into the southwestern and southern states (Grinspoon, 1971. Pg. 14).
THC acts upon specific sites in the brain, called cannabinoids receptors, rush a series of cellular reactions that ultimately lead to the juicy that users experience when they smoke marijuana. Some brain areas have many cannabinoid receptors; others have few or none.



The highest the density of cannabinoid receptors are be in parts of the brain that influence pleasure, memory, thinking, concentrating, sensory and period perception, and coordinated movement.
